Finnish Regional Teachers Initiative for Africa 2025

Interested applicants are invited to apply for the Finnish Regional Teachers Initiative for Africa (RTIA) 2025. EDUFI, the Finnish National Agency for Education, has launched this initiative that is funded by the European Commission; its participation is only acceptable from consortium public or private non-profit organizations and is limited to Europe and Africa only.

The RTIA is within the EU’s Global Gateway investment plan aimed at enhancing investment in education in Sub-Saharan Africa with an emphasis on improving the conditions of teachers. As funding for research that informs policy and best practices solutions this program seeks to meet critical needs including teacher shortages and teacher attrition in the region. So if you are an organisational member promoting the cause of education and wish to be actively involved in a contributing and significant way then this is an excellent chance to make a positive change in teacher effectiveness and training throughout SSA.

  • Organizations must be public or private non-profits, such as universities, research institutes, or I/NGOs.
