The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Young Leaders Programme 2023/2026 Learning Sprint
Young Leaders between the ages of 20 to 28 years from all over the world who have passion for sport as a tool for social and economic change are invited to the sixth generation of the The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Programme 2023/2026 Learning Sprint which is aimed to support young people in the development and implementation of social projects that use sport to solve issues in their various communities.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Young Leaders Programme which is Launched and supported by Worldwide Olympic Partner Panasonic in 2016 is a part of the IOC’s long-term commitment to support young people and empower them to become social change-makers through sport, while reinforcing sport’s role as an enabler for the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The programme is designed to best equip the selected young leaders to solve local problems through grassroots sports initiatives and sustainable business models. Each project promotes the Olympic values and principles such as respect, tolerance, peace and gender equality, while also addressing a specific local problem.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is a non-governmental sports organisation based in Lausanne, Switzerland. The organisation was formed on 23 June 1894 by Pierre de Coubertin. The organisation is constituted in the form of an association under the Swiss Civil Code of articles 60 to 79. It is the authority responsible for organizing the modern (Summer, Winter, and Youth) Olympic Games with its mission to promote the Olympics throughout the world and to lead the Olympic Movement.

Eligibility for The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Young Leaders Programme 2023/2026 Learning Sprint:
- Applicants must be between the ages of 20 to 28 years.
- Applicants must be proficient in English language.
- Applicants must have passion for sport as a tool for social and economic change.
- Applicants must have interest in community action.
- Applicants must have knowledge of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
- Applicants must be a strong communicator and team player willing to learn and grow.
- Applicants must be comfortable in managing social media, and new technologies and platforms.
- Applicants must be able to turn ideation and research into real action and development of solutions.
- Applicants must become a more effective and stronger leader in sport and social business.
- Applicants must drive local trans-formative change in and through sport.
- Applicants must represent and embody the Olympic values in action.
- Applicants must commit to a four-year entrepreneurial journey.
- Applicants must be both a mentee and a mentor through a comprehensive mentorship programme.
- Applicants must collaborate with fellow young leaders, experts, researchers, sports leaders and social business.
Benefits of The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Young Leaders Programme 2023/2026 Learning Sprint:
- 25 IOC Young Leaders will be selected to benefit from a comprehensive four-year programme, providing them with funding, network support, tools and expertise to become successful social entrepreneurs and make a positive impact through sport.
- The IOC benefits include a mandatory online four-week learning sprint, a blended learning approach with monthly activities and in-person events, weekly learning modules and leadership opportunities, but also a total of CHF 10,000 in seed-funding given to each participant over the four years.
