The William Thomas Williams Honours Bursary is an inititaive of William Thomas Williams estate bequeathed to the university in 1995. The estate included a property and a music collection. The proceeds from the sale of the property are held in a dedicated restricted fund which are to be used for the education of persons in music. The Bachelor’s scholarship is worth a bursary of $10,000 for full time and $5,000 for part time studies and is available to selected student who can show academic merit and a passion for their chosen field.
