The Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is delighted to announce that applications are now open for the 2023 SI Scholarships for Global Professionals at Universities in Sweden. This scholarship is designed for international students who are looking to further their academic pursuits.

The SI Scholarship for Masters Students offers a range of benefits to help you pursue your studies in Sweden. These include full tuition fee coverage paid directly to your Swedish university at the start of each semester, a monthly payment of SEK 10,000 to cover your living expenses, a travel grant of up to SEK 15,000 for the entire study period (depending on your country of origin), insurance against illness and accident, and membership of the SI Network for Future Global Leaders (NFGL). After your scholarship period has ended, you will become a member of the SI Alumni Network, giving you a unique opportunity for continued networking and professional development with over 15,000 talented alumni from over 140 countries.

The Swedish Institute is offering a scholarship for Global Professionals to help cultivate the next generation of global leaders. This program seeks to support the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and promote positive and sustainable development in the home countries and regions of the recipients. In 2023, approximately 250 scholarships will be awarded for masters degree studies in Sweden.

In order to be eligible for 2023 SI Scholarships for Global Professionals at Universities in Swedish, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Country of citizenship: You must be a citizen of a country that is eligible for SI scholarships.
University admissions: You must be liable to pay tuition fees to Swedish universities, have followed the steps of University Admissions and be admitted to one of the eligible master’s programs by the 7th of April 2023.
Work experience: You must have a minimum of 3,000 hours of demonstrated work experience.
Leadership experience: You must have demonstrated leadership experience from your current or previous employment or from civil society engagements.
Masters programs: The masters programs you apply for must be eligible for SI scholarships. We give priority to programs within certain subject areas, depending on your country of citizenship.
